These terms explain what you can expect from Top Rust Servers, and what we expect from you.
The service. Top Rust Servers collects server information from Steam's public Rust server list and from the servers themselves, then refreshes it every five minutes. We work to keep the data accurate, but no server is obliged to report truthfully. A wipe can be announced late, a name can be misleading, and a live player count can lag behind the moment. Treat every figure as a recent reading, not a promise.
Your use of the site. You can browse and compare servers without an account or payment. Do not send rapid automated requests that slow the site for other players. If you need a larger dataset or a bulk export, write to hello@toprustservers.space and we will discuss what is possible.
Rankings. Our rankings are based on live player counts and their recorded history. No server pays for placement, and no server can buy a higher position. If you disagree with a ranking, the underlying data is visible on the server's page; check it before writing to us.
Crawlers and AI tools. Search engines, bots and AI crawlers are welcome. Read robots.txt and llms.txt first; they describe what is available and where. Keep your request rate reasonable so human visitors still get fast pages.
For server owners. Your server appears because it is on the public list. Everything on its page comes from what the server publishes: name, tags, wipe schedule, player slots. To change what we display, change it on the server. Most edits appear within five minutes.
Independence. Top Rust Servers is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.
