A trio server limits you to three players per team. That is enough for coordinated raids but too small for a zerg, so fights stay legible. Worth knowing

The live count shows who is on right now. The rank column, where shown, uses a week of five-minute samples, so a server that spikes on wipe day and empties by Sunday falls behind a steadier one. Wipe schedules matter most: a trio server that wiped an hour ago has queues and fresh rivals; one wiping tomorrow is winding down. Check Next wipe before you commit. The name often carries the rate, and most of these run 2x or 3x; a name without a rate is usually vanilla 1x.

Q01What is a trio Rust server?

A trio Rust server is one where the owner has set the maximum team size to three players. It prevents larger groups from forming, which changes how raids and monument fights play out. The cap is the server's own rule, not a Facepunch-wide setting.

Q02Are trio servers less sweaty than official servers?

A three-player cap removes the largest clans, so you will not face a ten-man raid. Individual skill and server population still set the pace; the busiest trio servers attract organised players who run monuments all day. Sweat is a spectrum, not a binary.

Q03Do trio servers wipe blueprints?

Blueprint wipes are each server's choice. Facepunch's force wipe resets the map on the first Thursday of every month at 19:00 UK time. Check a server's page for its wipe history if you plan a long wipe.
